Engineering Manager
Jade Liu serves as Engineering Manager at LEECO, where he leads the engineering function responsible for friction hinge design, materials development, and validation testing. He joined LEECO in March 2008 and has spent his career building deep specialization in torque mechanism engineering — the discipline of designing hinges that maintain controlled positional resistance through tens of thousands of operational cycles.
His technical work focuses on the application engineering and qualification of friction hinges for demanding environments: medical equipment requiring sub-millimeter dimensional precision, marine applications requiring stainless steel construction validated against salt spray corrosion, and automotive applications operating under IATF 16949-compliant process control. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from National Yunlin University of Science and Technology, complemented by a Master's degree in International Business Administration from Shih Hsin University — a combination that allows him to bridge engineering decisions and commercial program management.
Internally at LEECO, Jade has led the development of measurement and calibration infrastructure that underpins the company's IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 quality systems, including the in-house torque calibration capabilities used for product qualification and production verification.
